FAQ

  • Is there a cut off date for admissions?
If you are planning to access a government funded place you will be required to start before the following dates: Autumn Term- first Thursday of October Spring Term- third Thursday in January Summer Term- third Thursday in May All non- government funded children can start at any time in the year.
  • When can my child start accessing their funded place?
The type funding you child is entitled to is based on their date of birth, therefore you will be able to access a place the term after your child either turns 9 months, 2 years or 3 years old.
  • If I receive a code for a government space do I need to provide this to the nursery?
Yes, you will need to provide your code to the nursery alongside additional information for us to complete an eligibility check. For those accessing a working entitlement government funded place, you must re-new your codes and ensure they are dated as follows: Autumn Term- dated before the 31st of August Spring Term- dated before the 31st of December Summer Term- dated before the 31st of March
  • Will my child start their session immediately?
Your child will work through a settling in process, where families are encouraged to stay and play with their child for short sessions, before commencing full time at the nursery. Each child is individually unique, and as such we adapt the settling in process for each child based on their needs.
  • Will my child have one teacher?
During your child's settling in process, based on attachment they will be assigned a key person. The key person will lead your child's learning, development, care needs and partnership with families. Your child will also spend a lot of time with other teachers in their room, so will be comfortable with other familiar adults. Where your child moves rooms, they will have a transition period with teachers in the following room to ensure a smooth key person handover.
  • Do you offer meals at nursery?
We offer snack twice a day at nursery, where milk and water are offered for free. We charge parents a small fee each week towards the main snack meal. Our snacks are healthy, nutritious and follow national health and safety guidelines. We have a 2 week alternating menu available to families upon admission to the nursery. For children staying with us for a full day, families are expected provide lunch from home.
